Exchange? Why not take it with you!!!

There is little doubt that we in the timeshare industry enjoy first hand one of the most progressive and innovative industries in the world. This was brought home to me in no uncertain manner during my present return visit to my American home in Las Vegas NV, USA.

If you thought the incredible exchange opportunities offered in our industry today were great - wait till you see the very latest in "timeshare" Fractional ownership being offered here in the USA.

I have for many years been a lover of the unique opportunities for exciting vacations offered by what the Americans loving refer to as R.V's - Recreational Vehicles, or to be more precise Motor Homes! I have just "invested" in one here in Las Vegas to replace my house here. Now that I intend to visit Las Vegas for three months every year from my newly established home on Malta, it seemed pointless to have my USA home sitting empty for 9 months of the year, hence the move into my new "Mobile Home"!

It was however whilst investigating my options that I came across "CoachShare".

Let me first point out that Motor Homes are not cheap. At the entry level you are looking at around $US 60,000.00 and today if you want the best and money's no object, you could spend over $US 500,000.00! The sort of vehicle you see our current pop idles touring the country in!

For most retirees here who have sold their home and want to spend their remaining years seeing the country a price range of between $US 150,000.00 and $US 250,000.00 would be the most common.

If on the other hand you have more money than you know what to do with, you could consider having one of these magnificent machines parked in your driveway to impress your neighbours and to visit the lake (or anywhere else your fancy takes you!) for a few weeks every year.

What will this luxury cost you? Well, quite apart from the capitol outlay of say $US 250,000.00 (a quarter of a million dollars!!!) just to maintain, register, insure, and do all the things necessary to keep your 'rig' roadworthy and in pristine condition you are looking at a monthly estimate of around $US 2,296.00. (yes - that's monthly and without going anywhere!) At approximately 9 miles to the gallon and gas at close to $US 2.50 a gallon - go figure!) Hook-up at any of the many beautiful R.V. Parks can cost as much as $US 40.00 per night, which includes your electricity, cable T.V., water and in some cases telephone/internet. My monthly cost here in Las Vegas is around $US 550.00.and still cheaper than the monthly costs of my previous house!

I digress…back to "CoachShare"
It is essential that you fully understand the substantial costs involved in owning one of these magnificent Motor Coaches if you are to fully appreciate what "CoachShare" is offering!

First take a look at the manufacturers brochure - www.coachshare.com.
Now that you have an idea of the type of 'home' we are discussing here…

CoachShare is the brainchild of a conventional time-share owner (Jim Palmer), who like me dreamt of one day enjoying his vacations in total 'mobile' luxury; here is what CoachShare provides:
A $US250,000 , 400 HP Diesel Motor Home.
A savings of up to 80%!
Why pay for 52 weeks when you only need 3-6 weeks?
With CoachShare, services like delivery, storage, insurance, cleaning, repairs, maintenance and more are all included in your fractional ownership.
They provide monogrammed sheets and towels, and launder them after each trip..
Your coach includes upscale amenities such as satellite radio and T.V., a home theatre system with surround sound, fine dinnerware, glassware, cookware, BBQ grill, outdoor furniture and more. They even stock your fridge with your favourite foods and beverages!

But here's an idea that some resorts should consider…. At the end of your three year ownership period, CoachShare will sell the coach and divide the proceeds between the fractional owners!
